About GoldLinQ

As the Operator Franchisee, GoldLinQ Pty Ltd is contracted by the Queensland Government for the design, construction, operations and maintenance of the Gold Coast light rail system. This is achieved through strategic partnerships with the GoldLinQ consortium members and a strong vision for the future of the Gold Coast.

In June 2011 GoldLinQ was awarded the contract to design, build and operate Stage 1 of the Gold Coast light rail system. In partnership with the Queensland Government and City of Gold Coast, GoldLinQ delivered a $1.2 billion public transport system for the Gold Coast which commenced operations in July 2014.

In August 2015, the Queensland Government announced a preferred route for Stage 2, a 7.3 kilometre light rail link between Parkwood and Helensvale.  GoldlinQ completed a competitive procurement process and appointed CPB Contractors as the design and construction partner in April 2106.
